Why a tab tensioned projector screen for 4K
A standard roll-down screen hangs from the top only, so the edges can curl and the surface can ripple over time. A tab tensioned projector screen adds a cable down each side, threaded through tabs on the fabric, which pulls the surface flat from edge to edge every time it drops. With a 4K projector, that flatness is what separates a sharp image from one with soft, wavy corners. The Tono Deluxe series pairs this with an aluminium casing and a tubular motor, so every roll-down lands flat and quiet.
Cinema Gray fabric: better blacks in real rooms
Few Mumbai living rooms are fully dark. A grey fabric reflects less of the stray light from lamps and windows than a white one, so black levels stay deep and colours look richer with the lights dimmed rather than off. Modern laser and LED projectors have the brightness to drive a grey surface, which is why Cinema Gray is now the usual choice for a living-room theatre. For a fully dark dedicated room, the matte-white Tono Deluxe motorised screen is an alternative.

Frequently asked questions
What does tab tensioned mean?
Tabs along both edges of the fabric are threaded onto cables that run from the casing to the bottom bar. The cables pull the fabric outward, so it stays flat instead of curling.
Do I need tab tensioning for 1080p?
Not strictly, but it still helps. For 4K, and for screens above 120″, we recommend it without exception.
Why grey instead of white?
Grey reflects less stray room light, so blacks stay darker with a lamp on. With today’s bright laser projectors, you lose nothing in brightness.
Can it integrate with home automation?
Yes. We can add trigger control for Control4, Crestron, Savant and Tono automation at installation.
How loud is the motor?
The tubular motor is quieter than a ceiling fan on low; you will hear it only in a silent room.
What is the delivery time?
