Description
A motorised projector screen that disappears when the film ends
The Tono Placid-range motorised projector screen mounts to the wall or ceiling and hides the fabric inside a 4-inch white aluminium case. Press the remote and the screen drops to a preset height; press again and it rolls back up. The 11-inch black drop at the top lets you position the picture at eye level without lowering the case, which keeps the installation neat above a TV or a window. Because the fabric is a tubular roll-down, the screen is also the most affordable way to get a large motorised surface — 150″ costs less than a 75″ television.
Who it is for
Living rooms and bedrooms with a ceiling-mounted long-throw projector and reasonable light control, boardrooms and training rooms, and anyone who wants a motorised screen without the cost of tab-tensioning. For example, a 122″ screen in a 12 × 15 ft Mumbai living room with the curtains drawn gives a cinema-size image for about ₹58,000. However, if you plan to watch 4K in a dedicated theatre room, step up to the Tono tab-tensioned motorised screen, which holds the surface perfectly flat.

Installation across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai
Our AV team mounts the case, conceals the power and trigger cable, sets the drop limit and aligns the projector to the screen. Case length runs about 10 inches wider than the viewing width, so we confirm wall or ceiling clearance before delivery. We install across Thane, Mulund, Powai, Andheri, Bandra, Worli, South Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan–Dombivli within 7–10 working days. Compare all options on our projector screens in Mumbai page.
Frequently asked questions
Motorised or manual pull-down — which should I buy?
A motorised projector screen costs a little more but lasts longer, because the motor lowers and raises the fabric evenly every time. Manual screens develop creases from uneven pulling within a year or two.
Can the screen drop automatically when the projector turns on?
Yes. Connect the 12V trigger output of your projector or AV receiver, and the screen drops when the projector powers up and retracts when it shuts down.
Which size for a 12-foot viewing distance?
108″ to 122″ is comfortable for 4K at 12 ft. At 15 ft choose 135″ or 150″. Use our projector package calculator to confirm against your projector’s throw ratio.
Is this screen suitable for an ultra-short-throw projector?
No. A UST projector needs a tab-tensioned or ALR surface. See the Tono tab-tensioned or floor rising ALR screens instead.
Can I mount it in a false ceiling?
The case can sit flush under the ceiling with the supplied brackets. For a fully recessed install, choose the Tono in-ceiling tab-tensioned screen.
What is the delivery time?
7–10 working days across Mumbai and Thane, including installation scheduling.
