Tono Fixed Frame Projector Screen (Matte White, Matte Gray, Acoustic, 8K Acoustic, ALR)

Price range: ₹44,460.00 through ₹500,000.00

The Tono fixed frame projector screen stretches the fabric over a rigid frame with a 1 cm velvet narrow-edge border, so the surface is perfectly flat on day one and stays that way. Seven fabrics cover every room: 4K matte white and 4K matte gray (100″–180″), 4K white or gray acoustic for speakers behind the screen (100″–180″), 8K white acoustic (100″–150″), 4K ALR for long-throw projectors (100″–133″) and 4K UST ALR for laser TVs (100″–150″). AudioShop installs across Mumbai and Thane.

Description

Why a fixed frame projector screen gives the sharpest picture

Every motorised screen makes a compromise: the fabric must roll, so it can never be as flat as a surface that is permanently tensioned on all four sides. A fixed frame projector screen has no such limit. The fabric attaches to the back of a rigid frame under even tension, which is why dedicated home theatres and reference rooms use it. The Tono frame has a 1 cm narrow-edge velvet border, so the screen reads as a slim, modern panel rather than a heavy black box, while the velvet still absorbs any overscan and gives the eye a clean edge.

Seven fabrics for every room

4K Matte White — the reference choice for a room you can darken; the widest viewing angle and the most economical fabric, 100″ to 180″. 4K Matte Gray — deeper blacks with some room light on; the usual pick for living-room theatres, 100″ to 180″. 4K White Acoustic and 4K Gray Acoustic — micro-woven fabric with a black masking layer that lets sound pass through, so the centre and front speakers of a Dolby Atmos home theatre sit behind the screen exactly as in a cinema, 100″ to 180″. 8K White Acoustic — a finer weave for 8K and high-end 4K projectors where the texture must be invisible from the first row, 100″ to 150″. 4K ALR Long Throw — rejects light from windows and lamps for a daylight room with a ceiling-mounted projector, 100″ to 133″. 4K UST ALR — tuned for ultra-short-throw laser projectors placed below the screen, 100″ to 150″.

Which fabric for your projector

Ceiling- or shelf-mounted projector in a dark room: matte white, or acoustic white if speakers go behind. The same projector in a living room with lamps on: matte gray or gray acoustic. A long-throw projector in a bright room with the curtains open: ALR long throw. A laser TV sitting below the screen: UST ALR — the two ALR types reject light from different directions and are not interchangeable. For a surface that rolls away, see the Tono tab tensioned motorised screen.

Frequently asked questions

Fixed frame or motorised — which is better?

Fixed frame gives the flattest, sharpest image and is the most economical for the same size. Motorised hides away. If the screen can stay on the wall, choose fixed frame.

What is an acoustically transparent screen?

A micro-woven fabric that lets sound pass through with minimal loss, backed by a black masking layer so no light leaks through. It lets you place the centre and front speakers behind the screen for dialogue that comes from the picture.

When do I need the 8K acoustic fabric?

For 8K projectors, or for 4K at short seating distances where the weave of a standard acoustic fabric could be visible. The finer weave is invisible from the first row.

Which ALR fabric do I need?

Ceiling-mounted projector: ALR long throw. Laser TV below the screen: UST ALR. They are not interchangeable.

How wide is the border?

1 cm, in a velvet finish. The screen looks like a slim panel on the wall.

How long does installation take?

About two hours on site; delivery is 7–10 working days from order.
